    The ISP-4 splitters also act as repeaters, and thus they may be used for transporting a DMX signal across larger distances. The DMX splitters of the ISP-4 line of products boost an incoming DMX signal and provide it on four output ports. This allows for safely going beyond the 32 devices limit of the DMX standard, as well as for building star topologies. DMX signals often get disturbed by the environment or even by the devices connected to the signal line. An ISP-4 splitter may completely clear the disturbances if it is connected at a location where the signal is still “readable”. Providing four individually optically isolated outputs, as well as an optically isolated input, the ISP-4 splitters may prevent harmful voltages applied to a given port from affecting the other ports and damaging the connected equipment. The bidirectional ISP-4R variants work within DMX / RDM environments, as well as in pure DMX environments. Therefore, ISP-4R splitters are a good solution not only for current RDM users, but also for those who expect to use RDM in the future.     The XWL series encompasses both, W-DMX as well as CRMXcompatible and compact wireless DMX transmitters and receivers.     The IT-SP8R is an ultra-compact 8 Port RJ45 DMX512 Splitter for use with DMX installations wired with Category 5 (CAT5) cabling.     Configuration:

    The IT-SP8R has two user-selectable configuration switches.

    Termination:

    The DMX standard recommends that the last device in a DMX chain be properly terminated. If the IT-SP8R is the last DMX device on the DMX network coming from the Lighting Controller, the DMX Termination Switch should be ON.

    Polarity:

    There are two primary wiring schemes used for DMX data being carried on CAT5 cabling -- the “standard” DMX wiring, and a different scheme used by Color Kinetics® products. The IT-SP8R has a switch that can be used to invert the polarity of the data from the Input port to the 8 Output ports. If DMX wiring is used on both the input and outputs, or if CK wiring is used on both the input and outputs, then the Polarity switch should be set to Normal. If the wiring on the Input side of the IT-SP8R is the opposite (DMX-to-CK or CK-to-DMX), then the Polarity switch should be set to Invert.

    CAT5 DMX Wiring:

    The following chart shows the standard DMX512 usage of each conductor on a CAT5 cable, plus how Color Kinetics® products are wired, and how the IT-SP8R is internally wired in order to accommodate both types of wiring.

    When the Polarity switch is set to "Normal", the Data +/- signals are passed to the output ports unchanged (as shown in the chart). When the Polarity switch it set to "Invert", the Data +/- signals are reversed when passed to the output ports to effectively convert from the DMX wiring style to Color Kinetics® or vice-versa.

    Quick Set Up Guide:
    1. Connect power supply to unit.
    2. Select same color frequency and mode LED light using the frequency changing key on both units. (This is your operating frequency)
    3. Connect transmitting unit to DMX console or software. (Gender changer is needed at this point)
    4. The frequency and mode LED will begin to flash red on the unit connected as transmitter.
    5. At this time, the frequency and mode LED on the receiving unit will flash blue. (This means it's receiving)
    6. Connect receiving unit to DMX fixture.
    7. A successful connection has now been achieved.

Choose from digitally networked stations or simple passive switches, different button styles, LED options, housing colors, engraving options and much more. Use CueStations as a remote control accessory for our CueServer lighting automation processors or your own custom projects. Mystique Series The Mystique series features 1/2″ (13mm) square buttons available in 1, 2, 3, 4 or 8 button configurations. This station provides a soft touch and allows the keycaps to be engraved. Each button has an indicator LED next to its top-right or top-left corner (depending on which side of the station the button is located). Individual key caps may be engraved or the top of each column may be engraved on the cover plate. Ultra Series The Ultra series features high-tech horizontal buttons with LED indicators on the left side of the buttons. This station provides a designer style with tactile button response. The Ultra series is available in 1 through 6 button configurations. Engraving is available on the Ultra series on the housing area above each button. Passive Wire Network Passive CueStations simply provide dry-contact switch closures for direct connection to devices that are expecting a contact closure to activate an event. There is a single terminal for each switch plus an extra terminal which is the "switch common" on the back of the station. For example, on a six button station, seven conductors would be needed (the six switches, plus one common). The Passive CueStation is designed to be directly connected to the contact closure inputs and digital output ports of a CueServer processor, however, these stations can be used in a wide variety of custom applications as well. Digital 2-Wire Network This technology uses a topology free and polarity free simple 2-wire network to connect the individual stations together so that any combination of home-run and daisy-chained connections can be made without regard to the polarity of the two conductors. The 2-Wire button stations are controlled by the Universal CueStation Hub, which can power up to 10 individual 2-Wire stations, for a total of up to 80 buttons (and indicators). For systems requiring more than 10 stations, additional Hubs can be used and/or a combination of the 5-Wire stations can be used. The Hub can be connected to the host system by either RS-232 or Ethernet protocols (which are fully documented). Digital 5-Wire Network The Digital 5-Wire Network type of CueStation was designed to provide an increased number of stations on the same network with greater cable distances. This technology uses a 4-wire network to connect the individual stations together in a daisy-chained topology. The 5-Wire button stations are controlled by the Universal CueStation Hub, which can power up to 50 individual 5-Wire stations, for a total of up to 400 buttons (and indicators). For systems requiring more than 50 stations, additional Hubs can be used and/or a combination of the 2-Wire stations can be used.
